Still running out of ideas on how to have fun at home during a corona crisis? Although the time of the strictest measures is over, you should not miss the now freely available Workplace, a movie by director Gary Hustwit.
Workplace, as the name suggests, focuses on the development of the office environment from the past through the present to expected future trends. The director pays special attention to the design of the New York digital agency R/GA, whose authors from Foster + Partners came up with the concept of how the physical and digital environments can interact with each other.
In the film, the director thematizes innovations and various experiments that contribute to visions of further development of what the future office could be.
The film Workplace was created for the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016. Check it out, along with other original films that the director himself decided to offer to people trapped at home during the corona crisis.
