Already today, robots with AI are regularly doing diagnostics, medicine, and manufacturing, driving cars and trains, working at reception desks, and helping at banks. And some of them are reading your resume right now. Technology is barreling ahead, and in a few years we’ll even see robots with creative abilities such as writing original texts.
We do not know whether this robot with the characteristic name Hadrian X is happily whistling while working, but the construction of the wall is going quite well.
Sooner than you might think – in 2018 there will be the first construction built entirely by robots, not human bricklayers. Team lead by Štěpán Kočí (situated in Strančice near Prague) is now in the final phase of development of the special robotic arm that will be able not only to put bricks on each other, but also to plaster the wall and then to paint it. The construction speed is approximately 40 minutes to build a wall of seven metres long and two metres high.
