Modern offices should be smart, but beyond that, they should be friendly. Every innovation should be measured mainly by its real benefit for people—after all, we spend up to 90% of our time in buildings. Those will be the key ideas at the Friendly Buildings professional conference this November in Prague, which will be presenting the latest in PropTech (Property + Technology) trends. That means digital technologies and solutions for modern buildings. We've got tickets for you - read more!
What technologies do employees in modern buildings want, and which ones do they really use? A facial recognition system can unlock your iPhone; when will they also open the door to your job, replacing plastic cards? Will drones guide you through your office building’s garage? And what good are electric scooters or a shared laundry room at a workplace?
The hosts of the Czech Republic’s very first PropTech conference will be answering these questions and more. “Our goal is to present the very latest from the world of technologies for modern buildings, with a focus on their true benefit for occupants and visitors. You see, we believe that buildings don’t have to be smart at all costs—but they do have to be friendly,” explains Josef Šachta, the co-founder and manager of Sharry Europe. They will be the main partner for the Friendly Buildings Conference.
The new Czech and Slovak Proptech Association will see its founding ceremony at this event, and guests will likewise enjoy a premiere reveal about the planned entry of an international coworking network into Prague (and we don’t mean WeWork). For a complete conference program, see HERE.
Developers, Architects, and Startups
This day-long event will be divided into four topic blocks. The speakers in the initial section will outline their visions for what innovations the commercial sector really needs. Then you’ll get to know the new ways of handling and securing office-building entries for employees, visitors, and the cars in office garages. The third part will show what an interactive office environment should look like. And at the end you’ll learn that the sharing economy isn’t just Airbnb and Uber; it’s also sharing things like laundry closets and electric scooters.
Speakers from a variety of fields will be meeting on one podium to provide their inspiring views of the office environment and the direction its development should take in the near future. The speakers will include developers (Skanska Property, HB Reavis), investors (Invesco), real estate administrators (CBRE), and companies that supply specialized solutions (Techo, Lime, Smartiple, and the psychology-based startup JuiceUp). For a full speaker roster, see HERE.
Visionary offices in Prague belongs to the best office buildings in the Czech Republic.
This professional conference, to be held under the patronage of the Czech Green Building Council, will also include a mini trade fair of innovative work-environment solutions. Expect smart office furniture, virtual reality, a smart coffee machine controlled by a mobile app, and more.
