Join us on the virtual guided tour of the Arval's new office. This workplace was awarded as the best healthy office during the last Meeting of the Year competition (under the patronage of the Czech green building council). As a paradox, Arval's healthy office is equipped with exhaust pipe on the roof.
Architect Martin Stára from Studio Perspektiv, who designed Arval's new offices comments: It is funny that a workplace with an exhaust on the ceiling won in the category “Healthy office”. However these elements fit into the company's concept as a leader of the automotive industry. Also the design of the table is noteworthy. It is inspired by the shape of lights of the new Volvo car.
The largest meeting room in the office is named after famous Czech travelers Miroslav Zikmund and Jiří Hanzelka. The impressive wall dominates this room. It has an acoustic function and it also represents dunes on the desert during the African mission of these travelers.
Another element which commemorate the company industry is this table made out of engine and leather armchairs (only these four from the whole office are made of leather).
Impressive reception made out of carbon - material frequently used in the automotive industry.
Nothing for akrophobics. If you flook look down you'll see a futuristic view of an impressively illuminated elevators. In the Main Point building at Pankrác there are two spacious elevators shafts located in the "interspace", which connects separated parts of the building.
A combination of design and functionality. Hotdesk for salesmans is located right next to the enter and offers a possibility to get prepared quickly for another trip. Large lampshades servers as an acoustic element as well.
So-called "wagon" stretches across the office and divides the open space from the meeting rooms. It carries out a variety of roles, including storage, seats for undisturbed calls, telephone "booths" or passages.
Many studies has shown that plants in the workplace can reduce stress by up to 15%. Here at Arval's office they create a nice and effective wall.
ON AIR: One of the call rooms. If someone is inside, the red diode lights up.
Safety first. By the informal sitting next to the kitchen an unusual picture will interest you. It is again connected with Arval. It is made of seat belts. And "Nils Bohlin" meeting room is next door. You don't know who Mr. Bohlin was? The hint is right in front of you! The inventor of a three-point seat belt.
An openspace for 12 people. Why 12? According to architect Martin Stára, this is the ideal quantity. Each work desk has its own portable lamp, which allows individual lighting to be adjusted while being fully flexible. This was also one reason why the Arval offices received a good rating from the jury in the Meeting Room of the Year competition.
