Dutch start-up PHYSEE has developed the first window in the world that uses solar energy, evaluates data on the state of the glass facade while being completely transparent. Therefor it has already earned several awards.
The founders compare the facade of a building made up of smart windows with human skin - both must respond to the inner and outer environment. With SmartSkin technology, energy consumption and indoor climate can be fully controlled. They use solar cells built into the window glass and sensors that evaluate weather conditions and user settings. Start-up PHYSEE has been awarded the Proptech Innovation Award or recently at EXPO REAL in Munich thanks to his invention.
